. . . and no, we didn't get to do any tasting. Only the judges did. ;)

Love the name of this one. The way you shot it is really neat, with the light in the background showing through the bottle. The colors in this are awesome. Great job!

It seems to me there is an interesting lighting effect that the bright lights on the two sides overwhelm the bottle a bit. I held my hands up to cut out some on each side, and the bottle is easier to see. It is like my eyes can't handle the contrasts... kind of like a flashlight being shined in my eyes. that would suggest a tighter crop might help.

What a beautiful bottle of wine! And definitely a success with the lighting conditions.

Thank you, Liz. I actually did lighten this up quite a bit - with it ending up lighter than in real life. The wines are displayed on a wall with shelves and a dim diffused light panel behind them. I always think it is kinda neat to see the light coming through the wine bottles, but it is NOT easy to see and read the labels. Originally, I thought I would just get the wines in general as "Vino", but since there was one that actually started with a "V" (Verdot) I worked at getting the label readable. Yes either flash or in-room lighting from the front would have been preferable. . . . ;)

Local, home wines are also fascinating. Interesting name.

Good image colors. But I wish the overall image had been a bit brighter to show the figure on the label. Judging from the lighting coming in on the right, however, this must have been a difficult shooting situation without flash fill.
