The Navajo Flag Flies Above A Flag Honoring Geronimo At Monument Valley

Much of the Navajo flag does not show in this image but the small area of the rainbow that can be seen, symbolizes Navajo sovereignty over the nation and the sacred mountains. Geronimo was an Apache warrior who fought the American settlement of Apache lands for close to 36 years. I felt the message of the two flags was a reminder of who first settled these lands.

Excellent photograph a beautiful scene and the flag is perfect in the frame.
The red rock monuments are always a treat for the eyes.
