Metallic wood-boring beetle (Dicerca sp.?)

Purdon Fen

This may be Dicerca divaricata. A beautiful metallic beetle which landed on my arm. It seemed quite passive so I picked it off and put it on the ground to get a better look at it. These beetles are in the family Buprestidae, same family as the Emerald Ash Borer. They are sometimes called jewel beetles, and not hard to see why, in my view, anyway!
