Waiting for ramp to open on the ferry at Ullapool

I am at the front of a suspended car deck on the ship waiting for the vehicles below us to be moved out of the way before the front of this deck is lowered. (Our car happened to be on this front section of the deck.) When the ferry is not full the entire deck is lifted to the ceiling. This is the configuration when the boat is not full.

Impressive setup on this massive ship!

"Built for the Stornoway to Ullapool crossing, the MV Loch Seaforth is designed to be a greener, quieter ferry. She's not the first vessel to take that name - the original MV Loch Seaforth linked Stornoway with Mallaig and Kyle of Lochalsh from 1947 until 1972. The new vessel was christened in 2014 by Joan Murray, daughter of the late Captain John Smith of the original MV Loch Seaforth."
