Chrysopilus splendidus

The macro world is fascinating and very small insects which normally go unnoticed suddenly become jewel like. This Snipe Fly (no common name) Chrysopilus splendidus, reveals a golden body. It is about 6mm in length.

Golden back almost luminous, green multi-faceted eyes, transparent wings ... the macro world can indeed contain hidden beauties.
