Tried these shots myself. Quite hard to do. You got him in the air, great. There is a stick in the sand, which makes it look like he is held up by it.
Also I always find that in sports you have so many colours competing with the main subject. I would suggest to try monochrome and maybe not include so much.
Just taking out the young man in yellow would improve the composition.
