This young male black bear took the invitation too literally. He appeared out of nowhere. One swipe with his paw and the bird feeder came down without a sound. We were sitting just behind the sliding door finishing our morning coffee. He took his time enjoying his free bird seed treat. He took off when the lawn service came around with a loud lawn mower belching white smoke. We are sure he will be back to finish what he thinks he left behind. End of bird feeding season for us.
