cluster

in recent years invasive species have been gradually cleared from the park, and native species encouraged to grow...this seed cluster of a big leaf maple suggests that native species will spread even more now, and provide habitat for many creatures, like the white spider

Love the maple seeds and a very cool looking spider. I wish the big leaf could grow down here. I'd have one on the lawn for sure. Vote.

There's a rich seed source and there should be many little seedlings next spring. Great shot. V

Interesting maple variety !! The colour of the seed pods is lovely - I guess they are good enough to eat :) V

That seems like trouble when all those seed pods disburse.
