We spent the day at The Henry Ford. First off we went to see the assembly plant where the Ford F-150 pick up trucks are manufactured. It is quite impressive. All the right parts appear at the stations where they are needed at just the right time. It doesn't look like the workers are even breaking a sweat. It really looks rather leisurely.

We returned to the museum and spent the rest of the day going through it. This vehicle is Ford's Quadricycle. It is the first motorcar he built. He had a day job working as Chief Engineer at the Edison Electric Company in Detroit and built this car during the night. It was simple and it worked. I think it would be fun to drive this machine.
