It's amazing how fast baby birds grow. He's been actually flying since Day #7 when he first fledged.

Because his parents kept him hidden in the plants with lots of branches and leaves, it was very difficult to photograph BABY. Getting a clear view (without disturbing the Cardinal family) was next to impossible - even with 560mm of reach on a Crop Body DSLR.

You can also see how much his coloring camouflages him & he more or less blends into the background. At this age, the little one has already started to grow his crest feathers & red wing tips & look like a real Cardinal. Quite a change from only 10 days before.
