Eider and friends

these seem to be the dominant birds along the Northumberland seashore just now, in the obvious guise of 'next'/linked image, but the nearest one is the female and I suspect the one behind still an eider (from the very distinctive head shape) but in a different phase of plumage. As for the flight behind, some turnstone, but they tend to wander in mixed groups with Sanderlings and maybe Dunlin
