I foresee a serious spike in your image viewing stats here. The costume aside this would have been a rather challenging image to get just right, particularly exposure-wise since that sun looks rather harsh. She has a bit of a squint as a result but her smile goes right to her eyes which keeps her face open and friendly. The balance between the highlights (skin and metal and the top of her hair) and the shadows (the underside of her hair) hit the balance point well. All in all, I think this is a very good portrait.
