A helpful guide in the Cathedral saw me taking photographs and suggested I might like to go to the Choir and take a picture of the 'green man'. Mandy and I spent some time looking for a man that was green without success. Another guide pointed out this wooden end of seating decoration that was the said 'Green Man'. The Green Man is a symbol dating back to pagan times with foliage growing from his face and he is meant to symbolise renewal, Spring and fertility.
