As rare as hens' teeth and just as headscratchunbgly nuts!
This is my Ibanez 2372 from 1973. Or a 1973 and I'M from 2372 ...in which case I have serious engine trouble.
I believe it was built in That Japanese Factory Where All The Joy-Rats that left the corporate ships ended up and crafted sheer brilliance for almost a decade.
This is a LONG scale guitar of the old school variety: or should I say a copy of an early Gibson (Gibsons don't nowadays).
It's a rare copy of a rare original, as only around 250 of the original Les Paul Recording were made. Ibanez had discontinued their EXCELLENT "reverse engineer-alike" 2372 by 1975. This fretboard is rosewood ( I think the original Gibson had ebony..?) but it is superb rosewood; likewise the mahogany body is the real Heavydooty Booty.
EVERY tone combo and resonant peak is under the hood. The neck is absolutely precise and pefectly set, playing like a "real" Les Paul Studio/Personal.
ACOUSTICALLY this electric guitar carries a deep THRUM to the player's chest: I've heard this on old Les Paul Customs, some nice older PRS amd my Yamaha SG2000.
