Stranded

On our return trip from Reno to San Jose, the lead engine kicked up a rock and punctured the air tank to the air brakes.

So we had to stop on the tracks for an hour while the engineers tried to fix the puncture.

We ended up continuing down the Sierras with the second engine driving and the conductor manually braking the last car as we went back home.

Coming down the Sierras in a train being braked by the conductor in the last car. Sounds a bit dicey but you got a great photo. Lovely leading lines, a gentle curve, snow and evergreens. Great shot. Vote.
