Hitler assisted Generalissimo Francisco Franco win the Spanish Civil war for the Royalists. Franco had been stationed in Africa when Spain elected a far left wing president. An irony of the situation was that Hitler expected gratitude and wished for Spain to invade and seize British held Gibraltar for the Axis when the 2nd World War began. War weary Franco and Spain did no such thing. Next up is the reverse of this card, featuring a variation.
