Our Yard

A male house Sparrow giving me the eye and readying for take-off.

We have several dozen House Sparrows residing in our yard and decimating our feeders, but then, they have to eat too. They are actually quite beautiful, but their "chirps" leave something to be desired and they spill a lot of food, but then that provides food for the bottom feeders, including birds, chipmunks, squirrels, mice etc..

Now I recognize this pair. We have several around here too. Mrs. Sparrow looks very calm and cool while Mr. Sparrow looks a little on guard!
