Dalyan Rock graves 2016 6675 panorama.jpg

This picture provides a good overview of how the graves are situated: in a steep rock at a short distance from the bank of the river, across from Dalyan, the nearby town.

The graves to the right are the most obvious and largest, with temple-lilke fronts. They can be seen easily from many spots in Dalyan. To their left are some smaller graves at a low level, and some larger ones, again temple-like, up that side of the hill. All these graves together are situated in one hollow of the hill. For purposes of identification I will call them (group) AR and AL (for A right etc.).

To the left of that part of the hill there's another hollow, on its right are only a few graves, to the left are many more, and much lower then the ones we started out with. Though some higher up have the temple-like front again, many more are simple holes. For purposes of identification I will call the BR and BL (for A right etc.).

Not on the picture is another group of graves, that are even further to the left and "around the corner", I show them at the end of this series. Those I will identify as C.
