A grand panorama, and an interesting geographic challenge. I don't recognise it, but: rugged, forested mountains with low tree-line puts one on the South Island close to the main range but away from the highest peaks; perhaps in the southern half; lake/inlet is shallow, shingly, forested on far margin but rather dry (brackeny) on this margin - perhaps poor soil rather than lower rainfall ... . I give up; where did you take this photo?
