More adventures in Photoshop land today. Also Lightroom land and NIK land. I spent some time looking at youtube videos learning how to do stuff. Those are OK as long as you take small bites. Big bites require more neuron power than I am able to muster. Anyway, I learned about smart objects and that has been a help. I also learned how to straighten the perspective in a photo and then fill in the bits that end up blank. Photoshop has a very powerful tool for that called content aware fill. This particular photo required straightening and filling. I also use several NIK filters. I am learning that using these filters requires some constraint. It is tempting to throw the sliders to their limits. This usually results in a hideous outcome. This is a learning experience for me since I am not known for my subtle demeanor. Just ask Ginny.
This is an interesting photo. You will notice that it is partly cloudy, but the church and cemetery are in a nice even shadow. In my view that gives a very church-like feel to the photo while having some nice sky and clouds in the background. For those of you who don't recognize it, it is St. Pancras in Widecombe in the Moor.
