One of the highlights for me this year was to see 20-30 White Pelicans visiting the lagoon. They usually flew in early in the morning.
People who had been coming to the area for two decades had only ever seen a white pelican 3 times.




As the Pelicans worked the lagoon they attracted an entourage. Great egrets, Snowy Egrets, Ibis, Little Blue Herons, Reddish Egrets, Cormorants, Red-breasted Mergansers,
Wood Storks, and Brown Pelicans all hoped to catch any fish which escaped the White Pelicans. Even the Spoonbills would tag along.
