Another Abandoned Piano

Hemingford, NE view map

It always amazes me that pianos, which are and always have been relatively expensive, are abandoned. This one is in an old church, I think. Thanks to Glenn Dean, who supplied me with GPS coordinates, I was able to determine where this was.

My kind of scene. I like the wide expanse narrowing down to the piano. I also have a similar picture taken in a rural Oklahoma church. I guess that by the time the church is folding the piano is not worth taking.

Amazing portrait of decay, and times gone bye! I also love abandoned pianos! Best I found was in Mozambique, old Portuguese East Africa...

the piano on the little stage suggests once lively times here...crumbling history so effectively portrayed...V

Hmmm, where was this? If only someone could tell you.... :-)
Great shot Dan
Too bad we couldn't capture that haunting sound of the plucked strings.

It's so sad seeing a once lovely musical instrument in ruins like this, not to mention the rest of the place. But your image is wonderful, and I really like how you framed the piano in the window opening.
