ha ha, same here. I was even asking myself who are the over-cashed losers who would pay top Euro$ for a 2x zoom. All that changed one day when curiosity got the better of me and I rented that famous Sigma 18-35/1.8 to play with. A lens that I bought the very next day ;) Sigma's claim that their 1.8 zoom is like having 28mm, 35mm and 50mm primes in one package rings very true. And that lens is sharp as a razor. Easily beats some of my L canons
