Having overcast conditions allowed for scenes like this to be captured with relative ease.
This is the view through an opening in a huge slab of sandstone, the interior of which was illuminated from above.
The scale here is a bit deceptive as the opening is less than 2 feet wide. Below, a view of the sandstone slab.
HDR for both images: the top is a merge of three exposures and the bottom is a merge of two exposures.
