mural

this is difficult to explain...the mural, in West Vancouver, purports to portray Vancouver in 1792, when George Vancouver, master of the two ships to the right, first met with two other ships from Spain...together they mapped the coast, in a rare spirit of co-operation....of the dominant islands, downtown Vancouver lies to the right, while the still relatively pristine Stanley Park lies to the left...smoke rises from a few native villages, including one at Kitsilano Beach towards the lower right above the scooter's handlebars

Interesting mural and comments. The moped and the mural make for a strange juxtaposition. The orange is just the right touch of bizarre. Vote.

Nice juxtaposition with the moped to contrast the history with the present (future?).

This is great street art and lesson in history, David. The bike is a perfect contrast. V

Interesting to see what a green and unspoiled land it was.

Intriguing mural with its glimpse back in time. Like the juxtaposition of the moped against the old sailing ships! V

What a cool mural and what a sad change, in a way :( Now mass humanity ! Neat shot showing us what it was V

An interesting mural despite some evident problems with scale and perspective, but that only adds to its likability.

I like the juxtaposition of the two subjects. It adds so much.

Looks like a great place to stop, David. I enjoy the details as I
am not originally from here.

Very interesting capture, giving an idea of what Vancouver might have looked like all those centuries ago. The bike adds the perfect touch!
