We have a full day of exploring Tokyo before leaving for Hokkaido.
We start with a short visit to the Meiji Jingu Shinto Shrine located
in the middle of Tokyo in a large wooded forest. Although heavily
damaged in World War II, the shrine was rebuilt in 1958.
This torii gate at the entrance to the shrine is photographed by
every tourist but only as part of "selfies" today (see next).
