Bearing in mind my personal penchant for low contrast relatively low saturation colour and the delight I get from images which have what I refer to as low amplitude foregrounds, ie no third dimension, namely height, to distract from distant backdrops this one is very much my idea of visual heaven.
If there are very high winds forecast then I often make a trip down to the beach at sunrise the following quiet morning hopefully on a falling tide to see what new sand patterns have been spawned. The day was predicted to be overcast but ironically that is often how I like it best. The low grey cloud removes glare from the surface of the sea and ensures the water turns turquoise. This is merely the ingredients, the icing on the cake is those fabulous unblemished patterns that are generated. It is natural artistic perfection.
