When the berries ripen, the bushes adjacent to Shoreline Park host a annual feast for American Robins (Turdus migrators) and Cedar Waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum). On this particular day, the robins and waxwings were mobbing the berries while the "owner" of that section of berry bushes, a Northern Mockingbird, frantically tried, unsuccessfully, to chase the outsiders from the area.
