There was a significant depression in the snow; about a metre to a metre and a half deep (a "foxhole" if you will); and this allowed us to shoot the foxes pretty much at eye level. They came around the edges of the "foxhole" and occasionally would decide to have a nap...right in front of us...They Must have had a hard night!

There's the shot I had hoped for but did not get! So beautifully processed Doug, great foreground snow, and eye contact. This one is a winner!
