"Hot" Winter Harvest

Tucson, AZ

These are Moruga Scorpion Peppers that I harvested from my plant over about a week, this December. These are rated at 2 million Scovilles and are the 2nd hottest pepper on the planet, behind the Carolina Reaper.A normal Jalapeno pepper has a Scoville Rating of 3500 or so, and Habanero about 320,000. I ended up canning a bunch of Salsa using a few in each jar. It is interesting that the plants produce their fruits in November/ December and maybe once in the spring.
