Squero di San Trovaso

Venice, Italy

This is the oldest and most famous of the gondola boat yards in Venice where construction and repairs take place. Gondolas need regular maintenance so that they can remain in service for decades. It is not a tourist attraction and is not open to the public, but you can view it from across the canal as we did.
