Probably my favourite of the Orange Mellon series taken just a few seconds before sunrise.
It's quite hard to believe but this is really a sunrise well past it's best the moment before it breaches the mountains and the contrast sky rockets to a point where flare is inevitable and the dynamic range exceeded beyond redemption. Vertical light rays have formed around the edge of the mountain peak and the reflected light left over in that fading sky is doubled in the still water of a meandering peat stream as it discharges into the sea.
