It was suggested to me that I'd go to a breakfast room in a hotel at the corner of the square, across the street from the gallery of the Marmara University, so I'd be able to take some pictures of the square from a different angle. This is one of the results.
From left to right: in the distance the tower on the Harem part of the Topkapı Palace, then somewhat closer the dome above the Wilhelm II Fountain, next the Hagia Sophia with its four minarets (some domes closer up belong to the Sultanahmet Türbes), closer up again part of the Obelisk of Theodosius, next the first of some minarets of the Sultanahmet mosque, with nearer by the obelisk made of hewn stone, then the Sultanahmet mosque (one minaret missing, it being restored), then in the distance the Bosporus and in the foreground the roof of the gallery just mentioned.
