When we adopted "Wallace" from a No Kill shelter. We renamed him Nebo, after an elusive coal mine in northwest Jefferson County. I was in no way a fan of Governor George Corley Wallace, although he did appoint me as the North Alabama Film Commissioner, the the State Department's Alabama Film Commission, during his last term as Governor of Alabama. Nebo is a 100% Alpha Cat. My forearms were riddled with scratches and bites for the next five years, at least.
