La Paz Street, called at the beginning Peris and Valero, in honor of its founder, is one of the most important urban reforms of the past century. Again rectilinear layout, designed in 1869 by architects Mercade Sorní and has 16 meters wide, and connects the Plaza de la Reina in the gardens of the Glorieta and the Parterre, providing the background the beautiful view of the tower of Santa Catalina .It is designed along the lines of French nineteenth-century urbanism that Haussman had developed in Paris, half of the nineteenth century and completely change the image of the French capital. Peace Street, though obviously not as utterly transformed this part of the city, attracting trade and becoming together with the Eixample of Columbus in place of residence of the bourgeois class.
