Erika

White Rock, BC

A young lady I met at the beach the other night..her friend was photographing her and I asked if she would mind me photographing her, and she was quite happy with that. I was also testing out an old lens I've had sitting around which I got cleaned last week. It does work again after the cleaning but over exposes by about 1 stop - depending on the light conditions. If anyone knows what might be causing that. The depth of field is also incredibly shallow - this was F11 and you can see the background is quite out of focus.

Whatever the lens's faults it worked to your advantage here. The effect is beautiful "V"

This is such an artful portrait. I love that you are able to get a stranger to allow you to capture her in such a beautiful way. It was great to share in your vision in 2015 and I am really looking forward to the future ~V~

It has a great and unique look. I bet she was very happy with it. I wonder if the mechanism on the back of the lens isn't engaging properly or fully. ~BV~

Erika is certainly an attractive model...fine shot...at 105mm think you can expect a shallow DOF...as for over-exposure, don't know, but good you recognized the issue and are prepared to compensate..

It is a very lovely portrait lens! I have no clue as to the problem you are having with it.
