Chloroceryle aenea

Kingfishers always seem to be popular with my guests no matter where we happen to go birding so I always try to find as many species as is possible during a trip. This American Pygmy Kingfisher is one of five species of kingfishers photographed on our trip to Costa Rica last October. Definitely a cutie!
