This is downtown Ghent in Belgium. Most tourist go to the nearby Bruges, a medieval
gem of a town, but Ghent is well worth a visit. This picture was taken from a bridge that
was built in the beginning of the 20 century expressly to provide a good vantage point on the gothic extravaganza erected centuries earlier.
