5 months have elapsed between the taking of this shot and the posting of it, but at least now I have one representative shot for each calendar month.
This was mid winter, and Darling Harbour put on a festival called Cool Yule (since our own real yule-time is roughly equivalent weather-wise to some of the outer suburbs of Hell). There was a lot of ice skating (which I couldn't get close enough to or get enough light to shoot without blur, for the most part) so instead I wandered into a grotto of illuminated trees, into which fake snow was periodically dropped from the ceiling.
It might be more than a tad dodgy on a number of levels, but these Japanese tourists seemed to be enjoying it.
