Norah was put out that we wouldn't let her go in the radiation area. Such mean parents! We took a short break then finished the last three miles to Grandview Point. The hike from the mesa was broken into two sections:

Horseshoe Mesa to Coconino Saddle: 1.9 miles, 1310 feet elevation gain
Coconino Saddle: 1.1 miles, 1190 feet elevation gain

The first part to the saddle was a more subtle grade and the final mile was steeper. Lots of switchbacks and a nicely constructed trail helped (definitely better than the Tanner Trail). There were patches of ice and snow, but not bad enough that we put on our microspikes.
