this one was a hoot, and seemed one of the most interesting signs in the museum's collection...evidently it is from the 1950s, and once was on display at a Rexall Drugs (a chain) store in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood...Hootie The Owl was their advertising symbol...it seems the wings would flap once upon a time...alas no longer the case...Hootie is grounded now, yet safely conserved
