Portal into death

A gloomy image to end a great challenge this month.
I met up with Ann Pettigrew at Conowingo Dam in MD this morning to shoot bald eagles.
These two beauties were also begging to be photographed!

Please forgive my absence through most of this month.
I am dealing with a very ill father and rabbit; both of whom require a lot of my time and attention.

Please check out other Pbaser's venturing through assorted portals HERE

Terrific shot of these two vultures. This is one of those scenes where I think the background adds to the effect. V

greatly capted those black vultures!

LOL, reminds me of our black vulture family at work and all the drama with baby Gus last year. I was so happy when he was grown and leaving for migration. I figure they'll be back this winter to start another family and I'll have to be a stressed out God-mother again. Sorry about your Dad! and Violet too. V

What a fabulous view you got of the pair. They look to be perched fairly low down.
