Quaint Carlingford

It was such a miserable day that I didn't bother bringing a camera with me.
But when we went for lunch in The Food House in Carlingford, I couldn't resist taking a quick shot of this quaint painting of the village with my phone.
Unfortunately I couldn't find out the artist's name.

I'm going to throw in the towel on this one. I'd guess that their initials are DRB from what I'd guess is the signature between the white and pink houses at bottom right, but I can't find a reference to an Irish artist of the Naive school with those initials. He or she is probably out there somewhere. Oooh, Jim's Ice Cream Bar in the centre there, I wonder if he sells Ego Caramel Magnums? (He probably does, that would explain some of the hips on display.)

I like the painting with this perspective and the way the boats on the sea are painted.

The houses are as curvaceous as the ladies

idealized image, yet not without a certain charm...a day here would seem a lark..
