Geococcyx californianus

We saw a lot of Greater Roadrunners during our trip in west Texas. When this photo was taken I wished I had a wider angle lens with me than my trusty 500mm f/4 as there were no less than six roadrunners in view. I would have liked to have gotten out of the car for this one so I could get a lower angle but I didn’t want to spoil the shots of my guest. Greater Roadrunner was high on his want list and thankfully they didn’t disappoint.
