Espinama is a village situated in Liébana, completely encircled by the highest mountain ranges in Cantabria, at an altitude of 810 metres above sea level. There are many ways to describe this charming area, this one was recently published: “Liébana is one of Cantabria’s districts with a large history and ethnographic interest which is still very present in its inhabitants. The unique geographic situation, almost completely encircled by the highest mountain ranges of “la Cordillera Cantábrica”, which separates Castilla y León by the Picos de Europa from the Liébana valley and the coast.”
