W W W

Internet is a huge invention that has changed our lives forever !
Remember your 56k modem ? Did you feel excited hearing that dialing tone when your are connecting to the internet ? How frustrated when you did not receive the receiving tone back !
Nowadays smart phone is changing our world. Conquered our mind. Everybody with their head down. On the street ; Crossing the road ; In the metro and I even saw a man riding his bicycle on the street with his head down playing his phone last night !
P.S. I had changed my smart phone back to a normal Nokia and have my battery charge only once a week ..... Happy !

Good to have spotted this for a capture, rather than walk into the web! Nice lighting on the fine web strands.

Great shot and I'm with you on getting back to basics with a phone, how liberating! ~V~

I saw a family birthday dinner with 8 children and adults and every single one sat playing devices, even after the waitress had delivered their meals...and not one raised a head to say thank you. Who needs the slap, parents or the children !!! :))

I'm happy to have WiFi...it keeps me in touch with my pbase friends :)

Love your spider too :) V

An interesting capture of this spider's web where parts of the web display a predictable and regular pattern while other areas seem hectic and unpredictable. This web may be a good analogy to daily life. Well seen and shot. Voted+

Hamery, love your thoughts on phones and agree of course ... and do the spiders legs say W W W? Very clever! V

Never saw a spider with such a long body - cool shot, Hamery!
P.S. I don't know how a smartphone works, have a phone which I can carry to the balcony for listening the news in the radio.

Certainly is a great shot Hamery, and agree re the phones, especially when one
sees 2 teenage girls sitting next to each other but talking to each other on their phone. v

Very engaging capture... just having returned from UK
it was hard to find an airport terminal with a single person
not on their phone.

Great shot to fit your caption. Yes, I remember the 56k modem. I also remember using a Telex machine that must have weighed several hundred pounds. :) "V"

Fine image. I use a pre-paid phone that costs me about $70 per year in calls. My head is not down as I am looking for good shots with my camera in hand...

A very nice capture of this spider on its web! I enjoyed comment about the phones..
I still use an old Motorola flip phone and have no intentions of buying a smart phone.
globalgadabout16-Nov-2015 15:44

We are just back from Yunnan, Hunan, Anhui and Shanghaï, we have not seen people so addicted to their smartphone as the young Chinese are !
The new Chinese Torture :To deprive somebody of its smartphone for one day !!! (and more if necessary) :)
