That's me on the right in the photo, leading the journalists through the unit. Besides the media, the unit was visited by senior officers and their staffs from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and US Army Medical Command, as well as congressmen/women. Interest was high because DEPMEDS units were being deployed to the Gulf as part of Operation Desert Shield and we were set up in DC's backyard. As soon as we packed up the equipment, it too was deployed to the Gulf.
