The test unit CEV at Bordeaux had an interesting collection of smaller aircraft available in the early-1990's. One of these was Cessna 411 6/AD (c/n 411-0250). This type of Cessna was produced between 1962 and 1968, with 302 examples produced in total. Six Cessna 411s were delivered to the French air force (AdlA) between 1966 and 1969 as communications aircraft, the four surviving aircraft (two crashed in 1971) were transferred to the CEV in 1973 and 1974. France was the only operator using it in the military role.
Cessna number 6 was retired in 1994 and stored at Bretigny. It was last seen there in 2005.
