John graduated from Hialeah High School in 1967, two years after me. He was flying a variety of old cargo propliners out of Miami International Airport's famous Northwest Corner while I was working as a ramp agent for the Dade County Aviation Department in the 1970's. Besides having mutual friends in the aviation industry he is good friends with Brian Noel who I knew when we went to Immaculate Conception School in Hialeah from 1957 to 1960 (5th through 7th grades).
