Same info as many of my photos: Hand Held Shot @ High ISO

I would have preferred to have photographed the scene with a tripod (like everyone else). But I didn't have a tripod with me & wasn't going to let the photo opt pass. However when possible, I prefer to use a tripod for night shots like this.

Even so, I'm still pleased with this photo.

The exposure is amazing. It's hard to believe that this is hand-held, as it is sharp from front to back. The contrast of the blue water and lights against the dark sky and the gold of the buildings in the background is gorgeous. Excellent job!

Really nice exposure balance between the lit tower and the fountain, Liz. The composition is superb too. And it is so representative of your Hometown. Perfect start to the challenge.

This is indeed a really great shot. I am all the more impressed that you shot this hand-held. Good thing you didn't let the photo opt pass!! The colors, composition and lighting are wonderful.
